Youth Auditions for Nuncrackers

Open youth auditions will be held for American Heartland Theatre's 2012 production of Nuncrackers.

All auditions will be held by appointment on Monday, June 11, 2012 from 1PM to 4PM at the American Heartland Theatre in Crown Center.

Available parts are for two girls 8-14 years of age and two boys 8-14 years of age. All roles will be doubly cast and equally split. One of the girls will need basic ballet skills to play the role of "Clara".

Children are requested to bring music to sing 16 bars of a Christmas song of their choice. Popular songs are preferred, but carols are also welcome. An accompanist will be provided.

Rehearsals will begin October 15th, 2012. Rehearsals will be afterschool with a longer session on Saturday. The week of October 29th through November 2nd will be afternoons and evenings. The performances start on Friday, November 2nd and run through December 23rd with the possibility of extention through January 6th, though that is very unlikely. Each actor will perform four shows a week sharing the role with another performer.
